The rat snake can come in many colors from black to white. They tend to stay away from conflict and are very skittish. They feed mainly of rodents and birds and can grow to be 6 feet plus. They are a constrictor, which means they tend to suffocate their victims before swallowing them. They are very mild and unharmful so they really are no danger to humans.
